About Lower Beauly Fishings

The Lower Beauly Fishings is a private fishing syndicate spread over three beats and 30 named pools on a 3.5 mile stretch of the river. Members of the syndicate fish from late March until mid October for Salmon and Sea trout.

The Lower Beauly is one of Scotland’s premier salmon fisheries, with water that fishes a fly beautifully. Fine spring salmon are caught in good numbers with some of over 20 pounds caught each season. The summer grilse run is very healthy and the fishing can be prolific. Being a hydro system the Lower Beauly benefits from regulated water flows; even in summer at compensation release levels the river fishes well when many ‘spate’ rivers become unfishable. The early autumn sees a late run with some larger fish arriving and together with ‘resident’ fish migrating up the system the sport can be superb.
